For over 13 years, Medical Consulting and Intake Services have played a substantial role as a patient advocacy group in the Salt Lake Valley and Wasatch front. MCIS was established due to the challenges its founders experienced firsthand with their own parents failing health. That confusion resulted in very unsatisfactory care and failed services given to it's loved ones. They realized that that were not alone. As such, MCIS was founded with the goal of providing others with an unbiased helping hand through the maze of private care companies. Since its founding, MCIS has researched and vetted numerous agencies and care providers who provide the best care and do the best job representing the health care industry.
The responsibility of a patient advocate is to provide options and give you choices of local agencies (including hospice, home health, non-medical, and respite care) for the patient and their family. As a patient advocacy group, we help eliminate the confusion and the burden that many caregivers feel when they do not have help. We assist in sorting through healthcare issues, and connect them with the right solutions that ease their worries, and improve their condition. Our services are completely free. As patient advocates we assist the individual and family members with the services of medical and non- medical professionals. From the time we first see the patient, to the time they leave our program, we are there every step of the way to ensure they are comfortable and satisfied with the services they receive.
